Written in plain English. No legal misdirection. If something isn't working, I want to know and fix it — a refund is the last resort, not the first one.
LAST UPDATED: June 2025
The Paradox builds custom AI systems. Every engagement starts with a free audit precisely so there are no surprises — you know what you're getting, what it costs, and what the timeline looks like before a single payment is made.
If something isn't right, my first goal is always to fix it. A refund means something went wrong that I couldn't correct — and that matters to me more than the transaction. I'd rather spend time making your system work than processing a refund request.
This policy covers all services offered under theparadox.online, operated by Ramakant Kaushik. It applies to monthly retainer plans, annual plans, and one-time project engagements.
You are entitled to a refund in the following situations:
If your system is not live within the stated 48-hour deployment window — and the delay is on my end, not caused by missing information or access from your side — you are entitled to a full refund of the first month's payment, or a pro-rated credit toward future months. Your choice.
If the deployed system materially differs from what was agreed in the pre-build brief — and I'm unable to correct it within 7 business days of you raising the issue — you are entitled to a full refund of the payment period in which the discrepancy occurred.
Any accidental duplicate charge or billing error will be refunded immediately upon confirmation — no questions asked, within 3 business days.
If you've started a new monthly plan and change your mind within the first 7 days, and no deployment work has begun, I'll refund the payment in full. This window closes once the build starts.
The following situations are not covered under this refund policy. I'll explain the reasoning for each — not just list them.
Once the build has started — meaning I've begun the architecture, integrations, or configuration work — the time and effort invested cannot be refunded. This is why the free audit exists. We align before anything is built.
I guarantee delivery of the system as specified. I don't guarantee specific business outcomes (revenue increases, lead volumes, booking rates) because those depend on factors outside the AI system — your team, your market, your product. I show realistic outcome ranges during the audit based on comparable deployments, but these are projections, not guarantees.
If deployment is delayed because access credentials, API keys, workflow details, or approval decisions weren't provided in time, the deployment window is extended accordingly — not treated as a missed deadline on my part.
Refund requests for a given billing period must be made within 30 days of that billing date. Requests made after this window cannot be processed for that period.
Custom agentic or multi-agent builds that have been fully delivered, approved, and handed over are not eligible for refunds. Milestone-based projects are billed per milestone — refunds on individual milestones can be discussed if a deliverable doesn't meet spec, but not on completed and accepted work.
Monthly Plans
Cancel with 30 days written notice. You will continue to have access to your deployed AI system and support for the remainder of the current paid period. No further charges are made after the notice period ends.
Annual Plans
Annual plans include a 90-day termination clause. If you cancel during the year, you retain access through the current quarter already paid. The remaining balance of the annual term is not refundable, but no further quarterly charges are made after termination.
Enterprise Plans
Cancellation terms are defined in your individual service agreement, which is provided before any work begins. Enterprise clients always receive a written contract with explicit termination clauses tailored to their engagement.
When you cancel, your AI systems remain operational until the end of your paid period. After that, integrations are deactivated. You retain full ownership of any code, workflows, or documentation delivered to you as part of your engagement.
Send an email to rkaus@theparadox.online with the subject line: REFUND REQUEST — [Your Name]
Include in your email:
I respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. If your request qualifies, the refund is processed within 5–7 business days depending on your payment provider. Card refunds may take 3–10 business days to appear on your statement.
If you're not sure whether your situation qualifies, just email anyway. I'd rather have the conversation than have you wondering.
